Woolf Fisher Scholarship
Rewarding educational excellence in academia
Awarded to up to three outstanding New Zealand graduate students each year, the Woolf Fisher Scholarship recognises outstanding academic ability and the other qualities which Sir Woolf Fisher most admired – integrity, leadership, boldness of vision and exceptional zeal, keenness and capacity for work.
Scholars receive:
a scholarship to study for a PhD at the University of Cambridge for three or four years
- a stipend of £21,500 per annum
- payment of approved University and College fees
- contribution towards an annual London-New Zealand return economy airfare
- payment of visa and health insurance costs
To be eligible for a Scholarship students must be:
- under 30 years of age
- have attended a secondary school in New Zealand for at least two years
- have graduated or expect to graduate in the year of application with a first-class honours degree from a New Zealand university
